“Students at the Branson School in Ross are nearing the launch of two mobile phone apps — one to help young cancer patients connect with each other, and the other to connect clothing donors to recipients in need.

The apps, called Nectar and Spruce, were the winners of the first Impact App Challenge at Branson during the last school year. The contest included submissions from 23 teams.
